Alastair Walton – Chairman and Partner
Alastair Walton is a career investment banker who was Vice Chairman and Managing Director of Goldman Sachs JBWere, the Australian affiliate of the Goldman Sachs Group Inc. From 2006 to 2009 he was also Chairman of Central Rand Gold Limited, a holding company for a group of companies engaged in gold mining and exploration in Johannesburg, South Africa. CRG has a primary listing on the main board of the London Stock Exchange and a secondary listing on the JSE Securities Exchange. Alastair is President and Chairman of the Board of both the European Australian Business Council and the Australia Gulf Council. He is also a former Director of Film Finance Corporation, the Great Barrier Reef Foundation and Australian Business Community Network. Alastair has also served as a member of the Australian Financial Services Advisory Council (FSAC), reporting to the Federal Treasurer. He is currently Chairman of Indochina Gateway Capital Limited which focuses on agri-business investments in Cambodia, Laos and Vietnam. Prior to joining Goldman Sachs in Australia, Alastair worked with Credit Suisse First Boston for 14 years in Tokyo, New York, Melbourne, Sydney, London, and lastly in Hong Kong as Head of Investment Banking for Non-Japan Asia. Alastair has a Master of Business Administration from the Columbia University Graduate School of Business, where he was a Dean’s Scholar, a Bachelor of Economics (with specialisation in accounting) from the Australian National University and is a Chartered Accountant. |

Andrew Stuart – Chief Executive Officer and Partner
Andrew Stuart is a career international banker who was Co-Chief Operating Officer of Goldman Sachs JB Were with responsibility for securities sales & trading, asset management and private equity. Prior to the merger, Andrew was Co-Chairman, Managing Director and Partner of Goldman Sachs Australia Ltd. Prior to undertaking his Australian responsibilities, Andrew worked for Goldman Sachs in New York, London and Tokyo where he was a Managing Director responsible for regional Fixed Income, Currency and Commodities businesses. Andrew also worked for Citibank in Australia and New York where he was a Managing Director of the Fixed Income, Currency and Commodities business. Andrew is a Director of REUSE International, the UK’s largest glass recycling, beneficiation and collection business. He is also on the board of the Sydney Theatre Company and Deputy Chair of the Sydney Theatre Company foundation. |

The Hon Peter Costello AC – Managing Director and Partner
Peter Costello practiced as a lawyer for ten years before entering the Australian Parliament where he served over nineteen years. In December 2009 Peter Costello was appointed a Guardian of the Australian Future Fund. From March 1996 to December 2007 he was Treasurer of the Commonwealth of Australia, a record term.During this period he was responsible for foreign investment policy, competition (anti-trust) policy, corporate regulation, superannuation, tax policy and the Federal Budget. He brought down twelve Federal Budgets, eliminated government debt in net terms and established Australia’s Future Fund. During his period as Treasurer, Australia’s sovereign rating was upgraded twice to its current AAA level. Peter Costello set up Australia’s system of financial regulation with the Australian Securities and Investments Commission and the Australian Prudential Regulatory Authority established in 1998 and the Financial Services Reform Act of 2001. He introduced Australia’s monetary policy targets by agreement with the Reserve Bank of Australia. For more than a decade Peter Costello was a Governor of the World Bank and the Asian Development Bank. He was also a member of the Committee of the International Monetary Fund. He has been Chairman of the OECD Ministerial and the APEC Finance Ministers. He was involved in the establishment of the G20 after the Asian Financial Crisis and was Global Chairman of the G20 in 2006. Peter Costello has been a columnist for Australia’s Fairfax and News Limited papers and has been published in the Financial Times and the Wall St Journal. Peter Costello has Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Laws (with Honours) degrees from Monash University. He is currently a member of the Independent Advisory Board of the World Bank which advises on transparency and anti-corruption measures. |

John Anderson – Managing Director and Partner
John Anderson was a Managing Director and Head of the Financial Institutions Group for Goldman Sachs JB Were. Prior to this role, he worked for Goldman Sachs in Hong Kong supporting financial service clients in the Asian region. Prior to joining Goldman Sachs, John was a securities lawyer with Davis Polk & Wardwell in Hong Kong where he focused on international capital markets and M&A transactions, including a number of U.S. listings and offerings. He also worked as a lawyer in the New York and London offices of Sullivan & Cromwell. John specialises in capital markets, capital management and mergers & acquisition transactions across a range of industries including financial services, agriculture, healthcare and consumer. John has advised on over 40 major transactions during his career. John has a Juris Doctor from the University of Michigan Law School, where he was an Editor of the Michigan Law Review. |

Jeremy Mead – Managing Director and Partner
Jeremy Mead is an investment banker with a 25 year career as a corporate adviser in the international markets. Prior to joining BKK Partners, he was a Managing Director of Lazard Australia, having joined Carnegie Wylie in 2005. Jeremy worked for 15 years in London for Credit Suisse First Boston, Barclays de Zoete Wedd and Hill Samuel. He was also Head of Mergers and Acquisitions and Corporate Finance for Non-Japan Asia for CSFB from 1999 to 2002 based in Hong Kong. Jeremy is a former co-head of Mergers and Acquisitions and a Managing Director of Goldman Sachs JB Were. He has advised on a large number of international and domestic transactions in the UK, Continental Europe, the US, Asia and Australia, across a wide range of industries. Jeremy has a BA in Engineering Science from Oxford University, where he won an Open Scholarship and a National Engineering Scholarship and is a Chartered Accountant (England and Wales). |
